If you are interested in radio controlled model sailboats, this is the place to visit. This website will tell you some of our history, when and where we sail, and lots more. Look under Fleets for the classes that we sail. Racing will show you when and where we sail, as well as results from previous nights racing. History will tell you some of the long history of the DMYC. The Links Section will give you more information about sailing in general and sailing model sailboats.
We currently race on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, starting in April and running into October. To determine what fleets sail each night, click HERE for the 2011 Racing Calendar.
We are very proud of our participation both in local events and National events. DMYC has hosted numerous National Championships as well as Region 4 Championships. Camp Dearborn was the venue of choice, but we are currently exploring other options that will better suit our needs.
Any night we are racing, club members will be happy to hand you their transmitter so you can get the feel for what it is like to sail remotely. Even veteran big-boat skippers are surprised by the differences.
